Participants compete within their designated age group. Age or grade is determined as of April 10, 2026.

Age Group & Team Registration Information
All games will be organized and played according to the following age groups:
- Grades 3–4
- Grades 5–6
- Grades 7–8
- Grades 9–10
- Grades 11–12
- Young Adults (18–25)
Please take note of the following important guidelines:
Team Category Selection
- Teams must register under the grade level of the oldest player on the team.
Minimum Team Requirement
- If there are fewer than four teams registered in a particular age category, that category will be merged with the next higher age group.
Play-in Draw
- If there are more than eight teams in a category, a play-in draw will be conducted.
Category Participation Rules
- A player from a lower age group may compete in a higher age category; however, a player from a higher age group is not allowed to compete in a lower category.
(Example: A Middle School player may join a High School team, but a High School player cannot join a Middle School team.)
Team Participation Restriction
- A player is not allowed to join more than one team within the same age category.
Schedule Conflict Responsibility
- If a player or team is registered in multiple team games and there is a schedule conflict, the organizers will not be responsible. The player or team must choose which game to participate in.
Player Eligibility
- The organizers reserve the right to verify the age or grade level of any player at any time. Any team providing incorrect information may be disqualified.
Team Roster Finalization
- Once registration is completed, no changes can be made to the team roster after the registration deadline.
Late Arrival / No-Show Rule
- Teams must be ready at their scheduled match time. A team that is more than 10 minutes late may be considered to have forfeited the match.
Fair Play & Conduct
- All players and teams are expected to maintain respectful and sportsmanlike behavior. Any misconduct may result in warnings, disqualification, or removal from the event.
Individual Competition Rules & Regulations
Please take note of the following guidelines for individual competitions:
Participation Limit
- Each participant may select a maximum of three (3) competitions.
Category Selection
- Participants must register according to their current grade/age group and cannot compete in a lower category.
Higher Category Participation
- Participants may choose to compete in a higher age category, but not in a lower one.
Late Arrival / No-Show Rule
- Participants must be present at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may be disqualified or may forfeit their turn.
Minimum Participant & Prize Policy
- If there are fewer than 10 participants in a category, there will not be a cash prize awarded.
Category Adjustment or Cancellation
- If there are fewer than 10 participants in a category, it may be merged with a higher age group or may be canceled.
Maximum Participant Handling
- If the number of participants exceeds the limit for a competition, qualification rounds or draws may be conducted.
Fair Play & Conduct
- All participants are expected to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. Misconduct may result in disqualification.
Judge / Organizer Decision
- All decisions made by judges and organizers are final.
Accuracy of Information
- The organizers reserve the right to verify participant information. Any incorrect details may result in disqualification.
Team Sports
⚽ Soccer
Team Composition
- Max 6 players including goalkeeper, up to 4 substitutes.
Field & Equipment
- Smaller field with smaller goals.
- Shin guards are mandatory.
- Appropriate ball size for the age group.
Duration
- Two halves, 20–25 minutes each.
Starting
- Kickoff from the center spot; opponents must remain outside the center circle.
Ball In / Out of Play
- The ball is out when it fully crosses the goal line or touch line.
- Restart with a throw-in, goal kick, corner kick, or free kick.
Scoring
- A goal is scored when the entire ball crosses the goal line between the posts and under the crossbar.
- The team with the most goals wins.
Fouls & Discipline
- No excessive force, dangerous play, or tackling from behind.
- Fouls result in free kicks; direct free kicks for serious fouls.
- Fouls in the penalty area result in a penalty kick.
- Yellow card – cautionable offense; player leaves for 5 minutes then returns.
- Two yellows in one game – player is out for the rest of that game but can play the next game.
- Red card – serious misconduct; player is out for the rest of the game but can play the next game.
- Goalkeeper handling the ball outside the penalty area results in an indirect free kick.
Offside
- May be simplified or omitted based on the age group.
Sportsmanship
- Fair play and respect for opponents are expected; unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
Referee
- One referee; assistant referees may be used.
Tournament Format
- Group stages followed by knockout rounds.
- Tiebreakers used for group-stage draws.
🏀 Basketball
Team Composition
- 5 players on court, up to 5 substitutes during dead ball.
Court & Equipment
- Adjusted court dimensions; hoop height adjusted by age group.
Objective
- Score by shooting the ball into the opponent's hoop.
Starting
- Coin toss for first possession; possession alternates after each scored basket or quarter start.
Scoring
- 2 points inside the three-point line.
- 3 points beyond the three-point line.
- 1 point per free throw.
Ball Movement
- Players may pass, dribble, or shoot; a shot clock applies.
Defense
- Block shots, steal the ball, and disrupt passes while avoiding fouls.
Fouls
- Personal fouls, traveling, and double dribbling are violations.
- Players foul out after accumulating the maximum number of fouls.
Out of Bounds
- Ball touching the ground outside the lines, or a player stepping out while holding the ball, results in a turnover.
Jump Ball
- Used at the start of the game and overtime; referee tosses the ball, players tip.
Timing
- Four quarters, 8–10 minutes each; clock stops for timeouts and fouls.
Overtime
- If tied at the end of regulation, overtime periods are played.
Sportsmanship
- Fair play expected; no trash-talking or excessive physicality.
Tournament Format
- Group stages followed by knockout rounds.
🏀 3x3 Street Basketball
Team Composition
- 3 players on court, up to 3 on the bench; no coaches on court.
- Cannot start without 3 players per team.
Format
- Games to 11 points (win by 2), knockout format.
- Game time is 10 minutes; first to 11 (win by 2) wins.
- Overtime: first team to score 2 points wins.
Starting
- Coin toss for first possession; check ball at the top of the arc.
Scoring
- 1 point inside the arc.
- 2 points outside the arc.
- 1 point per free throw.
Ball Movement & Resets
- After a score, the other team resumes play from under the basket.
- After a rebound or steal, the ball must go behind the arc before attacking.
- All restarts use check ball.
- No stalling; stay behind the arc to reset.
Fouls
- Team fouls are counted; after 6 team fouls, free throws are awarded.
Substitutions & Timeouts
- Subs during dead ball from behind the baseline.
- 1 timeout per team.
Tournament Format
- Knockout tournament.
🏐 Volleyball
Team Composition
- 6 players on court; substitutions only during dead ball.
Court & Equipment
- Adjusted court dimensions; net height adjusted by age group; appropriate volleyballs.
Objective
- Score points by hitting the ball over the net into the opponent's court.
Starting
- Coin toss for the first serve; the serving team rotates clockwise.
Scoring
- Rally scoring – a point is awarded when the ball lands in the opponent's court, the opponent commits a fault, or fails to return the ball.
Service
- Serve from behind the end line; wait for the referee's signal.
- The same player continues to serve on a win; the team rotates on a loss of serve.
Ball In Play
- Each team gets 3 hits per side.
- No double hits except during blocking.
- The ball can play off the net; any body part may be used.
Rotation
- Clockwise rotation after winning the serve; the player in the right-back position serves.
Blocking & Attacking
- Players may reach over the net to block; attackers contact the ball above the net.
Fouls
- Double hits, lifting/carrying, net touch (except when the ball is driven into the net).
- Touching the boundary lines counts as in.
Winning
- Switch sides after each set.
- Best of 3 sets to win the match.
Sportsmanship
- Fair play is required at all times.
Tournament Format
- Group stages followed by knockout rounds.
🤾 Dodgeball
Team Composition
- 6 players on court, up to 3 substitutes outside the court.
- Subs may retrieve out-of-play balls.
Court
- Played on a volleyball court; players must stay inside the lines.
- Stepping on or outside the boundary = out.
Match Format
- 3 sets, each 5 minutes; win 2 sets to win the match.
- End of time: the team with more players remaining wins the set.
- If equal at the end of time, the game continues — the next player eliminated loses the set.
Starting
- Balls placed at center; players start at the back line.
- On signal, 3 players per team run to collect balls.
- The first ball taken cannot be thrown directly at an opponent.
Ball Retrieval
- Out-of-play balls re-enter from the back line only, not the sidelines.
Elimination
- A player is out when hit by a thrown ball that has not touched the ground.
- Stepping outside the boundary = out.
- Players may block with a ball they are holding.
Catching
- If a thrown ball is caught before touching the ground: the thrower is out, the hit player is safe, and one eliminated teammate returns (max 6 on court).
Multiple Hits
- All hit players are out.
- If the ball is caught after hitting multiple players: no one is out, the thrower is out, and one eliminated teammate returns (if under 6).
Blocking Rules
- If a blocking ball is dropped, the blocker is out.
- Ball hits fingers or lower wrist = not out; hits upper body = out.
- A blocked ball that hits a teammate = that teammate is out.
- If a teammate catches a blocked ball = the original thrower is out.
Center Line
- Players cannot cross the center line; violation = invalid throw and the player may be out.
Face Hits
- Throws aimed at the face are not allowed and are considered invalid.
Substitutions
- Subs between sets only (injury exception during a set).
Cards & Discipline
- Yellow card – minor violations.
- Red card – serious offense; player is out of the game.
Tournament Format
- Knockout format.
⚽ Foosball
Team Composition
- 2 players per team; both control the rods together.
Objective
- Score goals by hitting the ball into the opponent's goal.
Format
- Games to 10 points; best of 3 games.
Starting
- Ball placed at center to start; both teams must be ready.
Gameplay
- Control the rods to pass, defend, and shoot.
- No excessive rod spinning.
Scoring
- A point is awarded when the ball enters the opponent's goal.
Winning
- Win 2 out of 3 games to win the match.
Tournament Format
- Knockout format.
🏓 Pickleball
Team Composition
- Doubles (2 vs 2); 2 players on court per team.
Court & Equipment
- Proper pickleball court with appropriate net height.
- Paddle and plastic ball with holes.
Objective
- Score by hitting the ball over the net into the opponent's court.
Serving
- Serve from behind the baseline, underhand, diagonally into the opponent's service area.
- Only the serving team can score.
- Serve underhand below the waist; ball must land in the diagonal service box.
- Each player serves before a turnover.
Scoring
- Games to 11 points (win by 2).
Double Bounce Rule
- The ball must bounce once on each side before volleys are allowed.
Non-Volley Zone (Kitchen)
- No volleys while standing in the kitchen.
- Players may enter the kitchen only after a bounce.
Faults
- Ball goes out of bounds, doesn't clear the net, volley in the kitchen, or double bounce rule violated.
Out of Bounds
- Ball landing outside the court lines results in the opponent winning the point or serve.
Winning
- Reach 11 points (win by 2); best of 3 rounds.
Sportsmanship
- Sportsmanship is required. A referee may be used; casual games are self-called.
Tournament Format
- Group stages followed by knockout rounds.
Individual Sports
🏸 Badminton
Format
- Singles (1 vs 1); no substitutes.
Court & Equipment
- Badminton court with net; racket and shuttlecock; adjusted for age group.
Objective
- Score by hitting the shuttlecock into the opponent's court so it cannot be returned.
Starting
- Serve from the right service court, diagonally; coin toss for the first serve.
Scoring
- Rally scoring to 21 points (win by 2).
Serving
- Serve underhand, below the waist; both feet must be on the ground.
Rally
- The rally continues until a fault is committed.
Faults
- Shuttlecock lands outside the court, doesn't cross the net, is hit twice, or a player touches the net.
Out of Bounds
- Shuttlecock landing outside the boundary lines is out.
Winning
- First to 21 points (win by 2).
Sportsmanship
- Sportsmanship required. A referee may be used.
Tournament Format
- Knockout rounds.
🏓 Table Tennis
Format
- Singles (1 vs 1).
- Best of 3 games, each to 21 points (win by 2).
Starting
- Hidden ball method — the referee hides the ball and the opponent guesses which hand it is in.
- Winner chooses to serve; players switch sides after each game.
Serving
- Toss the ball 6+ inches from an open palm, behind the table.
- The ball must bounce once on each side of the table.
- A let (net serve that lands in) is replayed.
- Alternate serves every 2 points; a second serve is allowed if the first is faulty.
Gameplay
- Hit the ball back and forth; the ball must bounce once on the opponent's side before being returned.
Faults
- Ball doesn't clear the net, goes out of bounds, bounces twice, or is hit before crossing the net.
- Edges are in; sides are out.
Scoring
- A point is scored when the opponent fails to return the ball or commits a fault; rally scoring.
Winning
- Win a game at 21 points (win by 2); win the match by being the first to win 2 games.
Tournament Format
- Knockout format.
♟️ Chess
Board & Setup
- Standard 8x8 board; light square on the right corner.
- 16 pieces each: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 8 pawns.
- Standard piece placement.
Objective
- Checkmate the opponent's king.
Piece Movements
- Standard movements for King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Pawn.
- Standard capturing rules apply.
Special Moves
- En passant and castling follow standard rules.
End of Game
- Checkmate wins the game.
- Draws may occur via stalemate, insufficient material, mutual agreement, or threefold repetition.
Time Control
- Chess clocks may be used.
Fair Play
- Fair play is required; no cheating or use of external sources.
Tournament Format
- Swiss pairing or round-robin format.
- Awards for top performers.
🎲 Mancala
Format
- 1 vs 1; each player plays one side of the board.
Objective
- Collect the most seeds in your store.
Setup
- 6 pits and 1 store per player; 4 seeds in each pit.
- Single matchup games.
Gameplay
- Take turns picking up all seeds from one pit; place one seed at a time counter-clockwise.
- Place seeds in your own store but not in the opponent's store.
- Use one hand only; once you touch seeds in a pit, you must play that pit.
Special Rules
- Last seed lands in your store = another turn.
- Last seed lands in your empty pit = capture that seed + all seeds in the opposite pit into your store.
End of Game
- The game ends when one player has no seeds remaining; the other player collects all remaining seeds.
- The player with the most seeds in their store wins.
Tournament Format
- Knockout format.
🏀 3-Point Contest
Format
- Individual competition; each player shoots independently.
Shots
- 12 shots; best of 12.
Starting
- Start at the designated shooting spot; referee signals to begin.
Scoring
- Each successful shot = 1 point; miss = 0.
Winning
- Highest score wins; tiebreaker if scores are tied.
⚽ Penalty Kick
Format
- Individual competition; 3 shots each.
Setup
- Ball placed on the penalty spot; shoot on the referee's signal.
Scoring
- A goal is scored when the ball fully crosses the goal line.
Winning
- Most goals out of 3 wins; if tied, additional shots are taken.
Sportsmanship
- Sportsmanship is required.
🏃 Track 100M
Format
- Individual event; 100-meter race on a designated running path.
Starting
- Start from the starting line on the starter's signal.
- False starts may result in a warning or disqualification.
Course
- Runners must follow the designated path.
Winning
- Time is recorded; the fastest time wins.
🦘 Standing Board Jump
Format
- Individual event; standing jump from a fixed starting point — no running start.
Procedure
- Stand behind the line with both feet; jump when ready.
- Both feet must be behind the line before jumping.
- Jump forward using both feet; stepping over the line = foul.
Measurement
- Distance is measured from the start line to the nearest landing point (heel).
Attempts
- 3 attempts each.
Winning
- The longest jump wins. Results are ranking-based.
💪 Arm Wrestling
Format
- Individual (1 vs 1); best of 3 rounds — win 2 to win the match.
Objective
- Pin the opponent's hand to the table.
Setup
- Elbows on the table, hands gripped; start on the referee's signal.
- Non-competing hand holds the handle or stays off the table.
Rules
- Elbows must stay on the table; hands must remain gripped.
Fouls
- Lifting elbow off the table.
- Intentional grip slip.
- Using unfair body weight.
- Starting before the referee's signal.
Tournament Format
- Knockout format; all matches supervised for safety.
🎯 Cornhole
Format
- Individual (1 vs 1); 4 bags each.
Objective
- Score by landing bags on the board or in the hole.
Setup
- Boards 27 feet apart; players stay in their designated lane.
Match Format
- Best of 3 games, each to 21 points.
Gameplay
- Players alternate throwing 4 bags per round (frame).
- Move to the opposite board after each round.
Scoring
- 1 point (Woody) – bag lands on the board.
- 3 points (Cornhole) – bag goes in the hole.
- Bags on the ground do not count.
Cancellation Scoring
- Points cancel each other out; only one player scores per round.
Throwing
- Throw underhand, behind the foul line.
- The previous scorer throws first; if no one scored, the previous starter keeps the first throw.
Special
- A player may request to clear ("rake") the hole if bags are blocking it.
Winning
- First to 21 points wins the game; win 2 games to win the match.
Tournament Format
- Knockout format.

- Individual event; showcase talent and performance skills.

👨🍳 Master Chef
Format
- Individual event; prepare a dish based on the assigned category.
- 30 minutes to complete the dish.

- Use only the provided ingredients and equipment.
- Dishes must be safe, clean, and properly presented.

🌭 Food Contest
Format
- Individual event; finish food as quickly as possible within the time limit.
- Each round lasts 3 minutes.
- Compete in groups.
Starting
- Food placed in front of each competitor; start on the referee's signal.
Rules
- Must eat only the assigned food.
- Stay in the designated area at all times.
Winning
- The player who finishes first or eats the most in 3 minutes wins.
- Groups format (best of group); winners are ranked.
Safety
- Safety guidelines must be followed at all times.
Code of Conduct
Youth Sport Festival is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for participants of all ages. All athletes, players, coaches, volunteers, officials, and attendees agree to abide by the following standards. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event or cancellation of participation.

Expected Behavior
All participants are expected to:
- Be respectful, understanding, and open to cooperation.
- Treat other participants, officials, and spectators with kindness.
- Refrain from discriminatory, demeaning, or offensive language and behavior.
- Take care of playing areas, facilities, and equipment.
- Report any safety concerns to the organizing team immediately.
- Dress appropriately for the event venue and family-friendly environment.
- Respect referee and organizer decisions at all times.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Physical, verbal, or written harassment, threats, bullying, or intimidation.
- Discriminatory, demeaning, or hateful language and behavior.
- Fighting, aggressive conduct, or provocation.
- Deliberately disrupting the order of the event.
- Inappropriate physical contact.
- Possession of alcohol, illegal substances, or dangerous objects.
- Damaging facilities, equipment, or other people's belongings.
Consequences
Violations of this code will not be tolerated. The Youth Sport Festival organizing team reserves the right to take the following actions as needed:
- Issuing a formal warning.
- Temporary or permanent removal from the event.
- Banning participation from future events.
Liability Waiver & Release
By registering for or participating in Youth Sport Festival, you agree to the following terms.
Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that sports events inherently carry risks of physical injury, harm, or, in rare cases, more serious consequences. These risks include running, jumping, collisions, falls, equipment use, weather conditions, and interaction with other participants. I knowingly and voluntarily accept these risks and assume full responsibility.
Release of Liability
In consideration of my participation in Youth Sport Festival, I fully release and discharge the Youth Sport Festival organization, event venues, directors, volunteers, staff, officials, and partners from any claims, damages, or legal liability arising from my participation, including:
- Physical injury
- Property damage
- Health issues
- Death
Health Confirmation
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in the events I have registered for. If I have any condition that may affect participation, I accept responsibility for managing it appropriately.
Indemnification
I agree to hold harmless and indemnify Youth Sport Festival and all related parties from any claims, expenses, damages, or legal proceedings that may arise as a result of my participation.
Media Release
I acknowledge that photographs or video recordings may be taken during the event. I grant permission for these images to be used by Youth Sport Festival for promotional, social media, and informational purposes.
